Additional Property Attributes

Former mixed-use commercial/industrial building in downtown Rockford that sat vacant for years after Newell-Rubbermaid ceased operations and sold to the private sector. Property was assessed and cleaned up using a combination of USEPA Assessment Grant funds and private funds from the developer Gorman & Co. In June 2020, redevelopment was complete and the building is now the home to Rockford's only downtown hotel, an Embassy Suites by Hilton (see https://esrockford.com/).
