Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property is currently used as a single family residential home and is owned by Mrs. Sylvia Ditmer. According to Mrs. Ditmer, the property was formerly used as a gasoline service station ("Pure Gas Station") for an unknown period of time prior to 1980. Three underground storage tanks (USTs) of unknown size are located on the property between the house and North Miami Street (State Highway 48). The USTs were initially discovered during curb and sidewalk installation by the Village of West Milton. On October 29, 1991, Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) representatives visted the property and located three USTs (fill ports) containing liquids with petroleum odors. During a subsequent visit by BUSTR representatives on April 18, 2008, Mrs. Ditmer explained that USTs exist beneath the driveway, the southeast corner of the house, and the northeast corner of the house. She also noted that the UST under the southeast corner of the home was struck at approximately two feet below ground surface during the installation of a new mail box post.
