VT DEC sub-granted funds to Central VT Regional Planning Commission to complete Phase II.

Former Use: Former granite sandblast facility is located in historically industrialized area of Barre. As early as the late 1800's the facility has been a granite cutting and polishing operation also. Most recent uses as a granite storage facility. The site is located in proximity to former coal gasification plant and former laundromat, both of these sites are on the Vermont Hazardous Sites List. Active rail line and former rail spur border the property. The Stevens Branch of the Winooski River is approximately 0.25 miles south of the property.
